DYN - Dynamic cursor commands

DYN is the XP-module that adds real power to FastCAD. You will be able to view the objects you are moving, copying etc just like drag. But it doesn't stop there! You will also be able to rotate and scale the objects while moving or copying them. Everything is right at your fingertips without loosing the precision.

PAR, MPAR, MOV and COP
These are the main commands of the XP. The way they work are equivalent to PART, MOVE and COPY. Nothing strange happens until you are moving your objects. MPAR is the macro version of PAR, useful for menus. While moving the objects you can:

  • Look at them (just like DRAG)
  • Press (and hold) SHIFT to freehand rotate them.
  • Press (and hold) SHIFT+ALT to rotate them with 15° snap.
  • Press (and hold) CTRL+ALT to scale them by moving the mouse up and down.
  • Enter a new scale like 2 or .5 at the command line to scale with control of what you are doing.

ROT and SCA
Not much of a suprise. They will rotate and scale the objects for you. CTRL will snap and SHIFT is used in SCA to move the reference point. Of course typing a number at the command line will scale or rotate the objects accordingly.

Installation
Download and unzip the file into your working FastCAD folder (C:\FCAD or C:\FCAD3 on most systems). When you start FastCAD enter CONFIGE at the command prompt, select an empty slot and type DYNDEMO.COM for the demo version and DYN2.COM otherwise. Save the changes to keep them for the next session. Be sure to be in the FastCAD startup directory when saving changes. Otherwise you will have to install DYN in the next session as well.

The demo will disable SAVE and WRITE functions in FastCAD. To uninstall the demo type CONFIGE as when installing DYN and enter the slot for DYNDEMO.COM. Now press ENTER to leave the slot empty.

LICENS AGREEMENT: PK Data grants you the right to install and use this software on a single computer at a single location, and the right to make one backup copy for archival purposes. You may transfer this software to another computer provided that there is no possibility of the software being used in two places at the same time.

You may not rent or lease this software and you may not decompile or disassemble this software.
