Do you have a lot of drawings? Are all named by a drawing number? Here is the solution!
You will get a new command to open drawings. The drawing name will show as well as the label. You will have 40 characters to describe your drawing. It's a lot easier to find them afterwards.
FILE
FILE will bring you a blue text screen with a list of all FCD-files in the current directory. The name of the FCD-file as well as its label and the date for its last update will show.
The menu at the bottom is clickable with the mouse or you can type the corresponding letter.
Open a drawing
Press enter on the drawing or click on the line with the drawing.
Erase a drawing
Press DELETE or E on the drawing to erase. Using the clickable menu at the bottom will ask you to select a line with a drawing to erase.
Change a label
Press INSERT or L on the drawing to change its label. You can also use the menu at the bottom.
Installation
Download and unzip the file into your working FastCAD folder
(C:\FCAD or C:\FCAD3 on most systems). When you start FastCAD enter CONFIGE at
the command prompt, select an empty slot and type FILEMGRD.COM for the demo version
and FILEMGR.COM otherwise. Save the changes to keep them for the next session. Be sure
to be in the FastCAD startup directory when saving changes. Otherwise you will have
to install FILEMGR in the next session as well.
The demo will disable SAVE and WRITE functions in FastCAD. To uninstall the demo type CONFIGE as when installing FILEMGR and enter the slot for FILEMGRD.COM. Now press ENTER to leave the slot empty.
